OUR STORY

How it all started...

In 2007 Antioch Wichita (Formerly Restored Community Church) was started in a basement by a small number of Jesus lovers who were called and hungry for church. Our goal was restoration for everyone. All of us have brokeness, no matter who we are, where we are from, or how much money we make. Every person and family has the opportunity for healing and growth in Jesus. Just as important, we all have the capacity through the Spirit of God to be used to for His Glory to see every home, city, and nation be rocked by the power of God. We didn't want to play church, we wanted to be church everywhere we go.

Expanding the vision...

As we grew, we began holding public services at a local elementary school in Wichita. While we were learning the logistics of holding services, we were focused on how to be a life changing community. Our goal was to simply go back to the roots of the church and build a foundation on some critically important themes. We felt the Lord leading us to put all of our energy into following Him with every area of our lives, discipleship, worship, mission, family and multiplication.

Where we are headed...

Over the years, we have seen so many amazing things together. There are countless stories of families being set free from their brokenness, people coming to Jesus, growth coming out of people who are being restored, and believers being empowered to GO and change the city and nations.

In 2019, we officially joined the Antioch Movement of Churches and changed our name. We are a group of churches connected through the power and work of the Holy Spirit and by a desire to love God, love one another and love those who do not know Jesus.

As we go forward, there are some exciting things on the horizon. We have expanded into a Community AND House church movement with a heart to plant churches all over the earth. Men and women coming from all backgrounds who just simply want more of what Jesus has for His church. Come and join us...
